Starting from 14th on the grid after a disrupted qualifying session, Reema started the race, gaining two positions on the opening lap.

With continued progress and overtakes, Reema was battling on the fringes of the top 10, when the pit window opened. Opting for the undercut, Reema pit 41 minutes from the chequered flag, with teammate Adam Christodoulou taking the drivers seat.

Following a safety car, Adam rejoined the race in 13th, quickly progressing on to break into the top 10.

Following a series of hard battling and close overtakes, Adam sealed Theeba Motorsport’s fourth class victory and third overall podium of the 2022 campaign to date.

Unfortunately, the success was short lived and only for the first race of the weekend.

Following a collision during a late Safety Car restart in race two at the RedBull Ring, the car was damaged and Reema was forced to retire from the race.

With Adam managing a 36 minute stint and maintaining his position at eighth, Reema took over during the pitstop and rejoined in after serving a success penalty.

A Safety Car caused by #777 crashing at Turn Four allowed for Reema to move up to 11. Despite a strong getaway after the late restart, Reema was on the verge of the top 10, but rear-ended by Schraml in Turn One meant she was forced to retire as a result.

Reema Juffali -

“I’m frustrated that our race ended in this way today. With the success penalty, we knew that it was important to qualify well, and Adam did well to put the car on the fourth row. He drove a great first stint and I managed to make up some ground after the pitstop. I think the Safety Car was going to play to our advantage, but then I was completely wiped out by the #15 Mercedes on the restart and that ended our race. It’s a big shame after the race we had yesterday. This one hurts.”
