Reema and teammate Fabian Schiller achieved their best finish of the season at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, rounding off the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.

Fabian started Race 1 on Saturday, carefully navigating the first lap chaos and rising to 29th overall.

With 26 minutes on the clock, Fabian handed over the car to Reema, but unfortunately a slow pitstop dropped her to the back of the field. A competitive recovery run to the finish line, Reema managed to climb to eighth in class.

Sunday also featured a tricky second qualifying session, as Reema secured ninth in class under wet weather conditions.

She then took the reins for the first stint in Race 2, which was disrupted by two SafetyCars and one Full Course Yellow period. After 25 minutes, she entered the pits seventh in class.

Fabian was then back in the car, managing to climb to the top five after an overtake on the#55 Porsche.

After a late Safety Car period and only five minutes left in the race, Fabian secured fourth. Last lap luck meant Fabian was able to close in on another two overtakes, battling to a second place finish in class, resulting in the team’s season best result.

“No words are needed after today. I’m speechless. We came into this weekend targeting a top-five finish, and after a tough qualifying, it all changed in the race. When Fabian got into the car, we were sixth, there was a late Safety Car, and then we had a sprint to the flag. With one lap to go a bunch of cars bundled around us, we couldn’t tell where he was on track, and coming out of the last corner, he was ahead in second. It was unbelievable, he did a great drive, and the team did a great job as well. This podium is for them and will hopefully be the first of many.”
